A cosy and inviting atmosphere awaits you when you step through the doors of the Bridge Bar. Established in 1959 by Patricia’s father, Vincent, the Bridge Bar has been welcoming locals and tourists alike for well over half a century.

Whether it’s a cool pint of Guiness in our outdoor terrace or a hot cup of coffee by the fire, we have you covered. We stock a wide variety of beers on tap and a host of specialty beverages including rare locally-sourced products such as Portmagee Whiskey, Skellig Six Eighteen Gin and Vodka, Valentia Island Vermouth and McGills Beers. Not to mention our signature Skellig Chocolate Coffee.

Delicious, locally-sourced, promptly-served food is at the heart of our offering. From quick bites such as our famous seafood chowder and chicken wings to fresh-off-the-boat fish and chips and grass-fed burgers, you won’t leave hungry. Check out our menu below for details.

We also offer coffee-to-go for anyone looking to kickstart their day and pre-made lunches for visitors taking boat tours to Skellig Michael.

Traditional Irish music is the beating heart of the pub. We have some of our traditional Irish music calendar listed below but drop us a line if you want to check if music is available on any particular date you’re visiting. The bar is also one of the main venues for the increasingly famous annual May Bank Holiday Irish Set Dancing Workshop Weekend held in Portmagee for over 20 years now.

The bar has also had a number of famous visitors, most notably Luke Skywalker and Rey from Star Wars when we hosted the wrap party for the Skellig Michael location shooting of The Last Jedi in 2015.
